Rodeline Joseph has been a dedicated physician assistant for the past eight years, bringing her expertise to the emergency room, urgent care, addiction medicine/psychiatry, and primary care.

Her journey into entrepreneurship began at a startup founder meetup at Atlanta Tech Village in July 2022, where she connected with Bryanna. Around the same time, Dr. Shadé Reid, then Assistant Medical Director at Black Pearl Global Investments, contacted Rodeline on LinkedIn. Black Pearl was keen on partnering with and investing in health-tech companies, which aligned perfectly with Rodeline’s ambitions.

At the time, Rodeline was working on Medsembly, a healthcare networking app designed to connect clinicians and healthcare students, share resources, and foster professional growth. Medsembly’s mission was to enhance the experiences and outcomes of those entering the healthcare field. The company gained significant traction, participating in the Techstars and Gener8tor accelerator programs and successfully onboarding 5,000 students and preceptors. Despite these achievements, Rodeline recognized that Medsembly wasn’t addressing a sufficiently critical pain point. Consequently, she dissolved the company and pivoted to her new venture, Status Health.

Status Health offers discreet and confidential virtual STI/STD care. Status Health is the first clinician-led startup under the “healthcare-at-home” initiative by Hometown and Frontline HLTH Innovation Studios, reflecting Rodeline’s commitment to innovative healthcare solutions.
